Italian Luxury Mountain hut
OBEREGGEN HUT / DOLOMITES
The Obereggen, it’s a beautiful luxury mountain hut nestled in the Dolomites. It is immersed in a landscape which is considered since a lot of years the UNESCO natural heritage.
The project was created and won, during the contest put out to tender for the construction of the hut, by Peter Pichler architecture and Pavel Mikolajcak Architekt. The mountain hut was built to enjoy maximum comfort during ski breaks in the Dolomites. Moreover, it gives the possibility to admire most of their beauty and grandeur with a coffee or eating a snack offered by the restaurant inside.
The alpine hut fans into three distinct sections That are each laid out to face a nearby mountain. All three sections of building are composed of large panoramic glass windows. Around, large sunny terraces offering a breathtaking 360 ° view of the entire landscape and dolomites which surround the refuge.
The architects designed the hut using as much as possible the materials and local woods. The interiors are made from spruce wood, while all furniture that decorate the interior are completely in oak wood, typical of this area. To stay on the theme of wood and the tree, the exterior mimics the gesture of a fall tree with many “branches” that emerges from the slope.
